“Sex and the City” is based on Candace Bushnell’s book of the same name. The show followed four single women in their thirties who live in New York City - Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, Miranda Hobbes, and Samantha Jones - from 1998 to 2004 and got a lot of success.

You will find some familiar faces that you followed in the original series, like Natasha Naginsky, ex-wife of Carrie’s husband.

The show will also introduce new characters like Che Diaz, a nonbinary queer person, who is played by Sara Ramírez (Grey’s Anatomy), who recently came out as nonbinary.

Sara Ramírez plays nonbinary queer stand-up comedian.

Che Diaz is described as “a nonbinary queer stand-up comedian who hosts a podcast on which Carrie Bradshaw is regularly featured.”

“Che is a big presence with a big heart whose outrageous sense of humor and progressive human overview of gender roles has made them and their podcast very popular,” HBO said.
