Aino Suni is a queer Filmmaker from Helsinki who has recently finished her MA in screenwriting. She has studied Cinematography, Directing and Screenwriting at TAMK - a School of art, music and media. Aino Suni's work is mostly based on personal experiences and observations as a queer women.
Aino Suni's films are about the little moments in life that everyone can relate to, but from a queer perspective. She wants to normalize queer relationships and show that they are just like any other kind of relationship, filled with love, heartbreak, and everything in between.

"Heartbeast" follows Elina (Elsi Sloan), a 17-year-old aspiring rapper who falls in love with her half-sister Sofia (Carmen Kassovitz), a charismatic ballerina. Elina's infatuation quickly turns into an obsession, leading her down a dark and dangerous path. "Heartbeast" is a twisted lesbian love story that explores the lengths one will go to for love.
