There’s a sapphic relationship between the lead character Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy in the comic book “Harley Quinn.”
Season 1 of the the “Harley Quinn” series was devoted to the emancipation of the character from Joker. The new season now brings opportunities.
Scheduled for April 3, 2020, on DC Universe, season 2 finally seems to bring Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy closer together. We were looking forward to it! Even the newly released movie “Birds of Prey” only slightly recognizes Harley Quinn’s bisexuality, which is disappointing.
In an interview with Geeks Worldwide, “Harley Quinn” showrunner Justin Halpern explained that the idea is first of all that the two characters get closer as friends while being more open to a relationship.
“Now, this is the idea that we deal with in the second batch of thirteen and that becomes about both of them seeking love. I don’t want to spoil it, so I’ll just say I think we get to the place where people want us to get to, but we do it carefully,” Halpern said. “We’re not trying to bait anyone or tease anyone. We pay things off in a satisfying way but we want to make sure we earn it.”
The trailer you can watch below shows Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are getting closer, nothing serious at the moment but it will happen, eventually.
