Cara Delevingne is the latest celebrity to jump on the documentary bandwagon with an upcoming series called “Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne.” In the series, the British actress-model explores all aspects of human sexuality, from love and relationships to sex and pleasure.
Cara Delevingne is no stranger to pushing boundaries. The model-turned-actress has been open about her sexuality, and now she’s taking her advocacy to the next level with a new documentary series called “Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne.”
The six-part docuseries, created by Simon Andreae, does not take place in a single location. Instead, throughout the six episodes, the central character, Cara Delevingne, travels across the globe to explore and research various aspects of gender and sexuality. It aims to come to “real conclusions about sexual orientation.” And never mind if some people feel uncomfortable watching certain scenes or situations present in the episodes, Andreae explained during a presentation of the show that took place a few months ago that he and the other producers wanted to avoid “classic Hollywood fence-sitting because you don’t want to offend anyone.”
As a result, you can expect an honest discussion about human sexuality and sexual orientation.
Thus, in “Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne,” Delevingne will answer big questions on human sexuality examining issues, including relationships, sex appeal, and the popularity of pornography. From the joys of sexual exploration to the mysteries of human desire, she will attempt to get to the bottom of what we think we know about sex.
“Planet Sex” is sure to be an eye-opening experience for anyone who tunes in. Delevingne takes you on an immersive journey to discover the many facets of human sexuality that you may not be aware of.
Throughout the six episodes that the docuseries accounts, Cara is open-minded and curious, and that’s what makes the show so intriguing. Whether she’s talking to experts or sharing her honest personal experiences, Cara is sure to make you see sex in a new light. And while she focuses on her own sexuality, you’re sure to learn a thing or two about yourself along the way.
As the model and actress began filming the documentary series, she quickly discovered that her own sexuality had limits. During one day of filming, she attended a masturbation seminar, which made her realize that she was more of a “prude” than she thought.
“I went into [a] masturbation seminar thinking it was going to be a classroom and I’d have a notepad, and instead, it was a pink, leather gym mat on the floor with six people going, ‘Well, take your underwear off. This is the lube,” she said, speaking at the international TV market MIPCOM. “I didn’t realize I was a prude [but] I was like, ‘Sorry, what? Sorry, no, absolutely not. I will not do that.’ But I kind of did everything I felt comfortable doing.”
Each episode addresses a different theme. In one episode, Cara Delevingne visits a porn library, while another will see her undergoing blood tests while experiencing an orgasm.
“When it comes to the orgasm, there is a definite gender gap. Scientists say that 95 per cent of straight men orgasm during intercourse but only 65 per cent of straight women do,” she explained. “To be honest, I think that sounds way too high; most of my straight female friends say it’s probably more like 15 or 20 per cent. Lesbians and queer women definitely seem to have it better.”
“I’m here to have an orgasm and donate it to science. I think female sexual desire has definitely been repressed,” she added. “I know from my own love life just how sexual women can be, so you’d think in the 21st century men and women should be having equally satisfying sex lives, right?”
This is definitely an innovative series that should help break down the stigma surrounding human sexuality and sexual orientation.
The "Planet Sex With Cara Delevingne" episodes take viewers on a journey of exploration and self-discovery as Cara seeks to bridge the orgasm gap between men and women, live openly as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, explore the world of pornography, uncover the complexities of gender, expand her horizons beyond traditional monogamy, and delve into the origins of our concept of beauty. From Germany to Japan, New York to South Africa, join Cara on a thought-provoking and eye-opening adventure.
Cara is on a mission to bridge the orgasm gap between men and women. She travels to Germany to uncover the science behind orgasms, creates 'vagina art' in Japan, attends a masturbation class in New York, and explores a women-only sex party in LA - all in an effort to understand why men are experiencing more fulfilling sex than women.
After enduring feelings of shame about her sexuality in her upbringing, Cara now seeks to live openly and unapologetically. Her journey takes her to Germany, where she encounters queer refugees who are rebuilding their lives through cabaret. She then travels to Tokyo for her first ever Pride parade before partying it up at the biggest lesbian festival in the world in the US.
Cara's exploration of the porn industry reveals a different perspective. While pornography is pervasive, she discovers positive aspects throughout her travels. In Spain, Cara contributes to an ethical and feminist pornographic film. In Germany, she encounters positive representations of role models within gay pornography. Her travels also take her to Japan, where she discovers boy-on-boy love comics designed for women. Finally, in New York, Cara explores the sensitive and homemade side of pornography.
In today's society, the concept of gender is receiving increased attention. Yet, what does it truly entail and why is it crucial? Cara delves into the world of drag alongside a trans man in LA, uncovers a third gender culture in Mexico, and undergoes a "gender swap" in Spain. Through these encounters, she grapples with her own masculinity and gender fluidity.
Cara has been captivated by love her whole life, but now she's ready to expand her horizons beyond traditional monogamous relationships. Seeking to uncover the scientific secrets of love, Cara undergoes a DNA test in London and a brain scan in the USA. Her journey also takes her across the globe to explore solo weddings in Japan, polyamory in South Africa, and non-monogamy in LA. Follow Cara's path of exploration as she seeks to unravel the mysteries of love.
Cara seeks the expertise of a cosmetic surgeon to probe into the origins of our concept of beauty. She embarks on a journey to uncover examples of colorism in South Africa and plastic surgery in Colombia, while also engaging in discussions on body positivity across various locations.
