“Happiest Season” is co-written and directed by Clea DuVall (But I’m A Cheerleader, The Handmaid’s Tale).
The story follows Abby (Kristen Stewart) and Harper (Mackenzie Davis), a lesbian couple about to spend the Christmas holidays with Harper’s family.
As Abby prepares to propose to her girlfriend, she discovers to her amazement that this one has not come out to her conservative parents when Harper introduces Abby as her roommate.
Concerning the release, it is still scheduled for November 25, 2020, but the format has changed.
The film was originally planned to be released in theaters across the United States, but a few weeks ago, Hulu, the streaming platform, acquired the distribution rights.
“Happiest Seasons” will therefore be available on VOD on Hulu on November 25.
