"Chosen" is a gripping sci-fi drama created by Christian Potalivo and Jannik Tai Mosholt, both known for their work on "The Rain."
The show centers around Emma, a 17-year-old girl from the Danish town of Middelbo. Emma's life takes an unexpected turn when she begins investigating strange events happening in her town, leading her to the discovery of a meteor shower that occurred seventeen years ago. Along the way, she meets a group of young people who believe that the meteor shower was actually an alien ship crash. One of these people is Marie, a queer girl who claims to be a vampire. Though Emma initially finds Marie strange, the two gradually form a bond, eventually sleeping together.
However, as the story progresses, Emma and Marie drift apart, with Emma distancing herself from the group and partnering with an alien to uncover the unsettling truth hidden in her town. On the other hand, Marie discovers Emma slept with her friend Frederik, causing tension in their already strained relationship.
Nonetheless, the series' final episode offers a glimmer of hope as both express their longing for each other, hinting at a chance to reignite their initial connection.
"Chosen" immediately captivated me with its compelling narrative, intricate plot, and complex characters. Each twist and turn in the story left me on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating what would happen next. The ending was a masterful stroke, striking the perfect balance between tying up loose ends and leaving enough unanswered questions to keep me hooked. I couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for more time with the cast of characters and their enigmatic world. I wished the creators had extended the season to explore the depths of the characters' motivations. Nevertheless, "Chosen" remains an outstanding viewing experience that I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend to anyone seeking an engaging show.

This show is perfect for sci-fi fans or if you’re looking for a nice show with queer female characters. It has some great action scenes and an interesting storyline. If you want to watch Chosen season 1, it is available on Netflix since January 27, 2022.
As we're over a year past the debut of "Chosen" on Netflix, and there's been no announcement regarding its renewal, it's becoming increasingly apparent that a second season is unlikely. The silence from Netflix is rather indicative.
