Do you want to be immersed in a mysterious world full of horror and suspense?
Created by John Griffin, the sci fi horror series “From” is one of a kind, and it's worth watching if you’re a horror fan. With its unique take on the horror genre, “From” takes you to a nightmarish town in America. Here, the characters must fight for their survival against terrifying monsters. And now, with season 2 launching, the suspense and terror have intensified. Whether you’re a die-hard horror fan or just looking for a thrilling watch, “From” season 2 is not for the faint of heart. It will leave you on the edge of your seat, ready for more.
In the first season of “From,” which was released on February 20, 2022, we meet the characters who try to maintain normalcy and seek an escape to the small town they're trapped in, they must also survive the surrounding forest and its strange and terrifying creatures.
If you thought season 1 was intense, season 2 takes it to another level. According to Deadline, “hidden truths about the nature and terrifying origins of the town begin to emerge, even as life for its residents is plunged into chaos by the arrival of mysterious newcomers.” And with more and more people trapped every day, bloodshed is guaranteed, and many characters certainly won’t survive.
Harold Perrineau, one of the show’s main actors, also shared with Variety that the horror lurking in "From" season 2 will transcend far beyond the flesh-eating monsters of season 1. He revealed that the writers told him before filming the new season that “the monsters in season 1 are just the beginning. That the horrors are worse. And if there’s something worse than these flesh-devouring, leave-your-face-on-but-eat-your-insides monsters, it’s going to be a creepy couple of years.”
Representation matters, and “From” gets it right when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community.
Throughout season 1, we saw queer character Kristi Miller (played by out actress Chloe Van Landschoot), a paramedic, in a relationship with a man within the town while knowing she has a girlfriend outside. This season, Kristi is back and here to stay.
In “From” season 2, we are introduced to Kristi's girlfriend, Marielle (played by Kaelen Ohm), who also finds herself stucked in the town. Their journey will be filled with challenges, particularly because Marielle is grappling with drug-related issues in the wake of Kristi's disappearance.
Then there’s Fatima Hassan, who identifies as pansexual and isn’t afraid to express her fluidity by kissing almost everyone throughout season 1. Her actions impact Julie Matthews, the daughter of the Matthews family, who questions her sexuality.
In addition, the show also features out actress Avery Konrad, who plays Sara, further emphasizing its commitment to LGBTQ+ representation.
