Introducing Guillermo del Toro’s “Cabinet of Curiosities”

“Cabinet of Curiosities” is an anthology mini-series composed of eight independent episodes, eight tales that are unrelated to each other, each with its own director and cast. Guillermo del Toro has added his renowned name to a collection of spooky tales directed by talented genre veterans and exciting first-time filmmakers, with each curious trinket adding up to form a fantastic treasure trove filled with dark, mysterious, and Gothic storytelling. It is a unique show because it features both original works and adaptations of cult classics. In the episodes “Dreams in the Witch House” and “Pickman’s Model,” for example, the team has taken inspiration from H. P. Lovecraft’s writings to create a spine-chilling tale of horror and suspense.
